Last week, we found a fun dessert option at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt in Sugar Land.
Just a bit of news this week: Alison Cook at 29-95 reviewed Vishala, an Indian buffet that sounds delightful! Sugar Land Magazine looks at restaurants serving up hot and spicy dishes in Sugar Land. Chron.com ran a story this weekend about how local craft breweries are creating new jobs. We sure know what it’s like to live through a hurricane, and so Guru and Japaneiro’s are offering some specials to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
- Guru will feature pint nights for 2 different New York breweries. November 13th at 6:00 p.m. will be Sixpoint pint night, and November 16th at 6:00 p.m., Guru will feature Brooklyn Brewery. Half the price of every East Coast brew sold will be donated to the American Red Cross.
- Japaneiro’s is featuring an East Coast Relief Roll, which is a sushi roll with crab mix, salmon, avocado, and soybean paper, topped with tempura flakes. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales of this sushi roll will be donated to the Red Cross.
It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week! Keep an eye out for my upcoming post on which Fort Bend restaurants are open on Thanksgiving, in case you just don’t feel like cooking (or maybe if the turkey doesn’t turn out!).
